Quick and Simple Question and Answer - Tuesday, December 07, 2010

I hope everyone is having a enjoyable holiday season so far. With Christmas right around the corner there has been a lot of the same questions here in the office. I'm going to take a couple minutes to go over some things with everyone. Netflix and Hulu are beginning to be used more and more by everyone here in the United States. It has been a debate between providers and the government for many weeks.

We're going to attempt to help educate everyone on how the internet works and a little about how we as an internet provider works. Technology changes everyday but how everything works behind the scenes doesn't always. If you have anymore questions feel free to give us a call at 317-831-3000

Lightning and power surges causing problems! - Tuesday, June 09, 2009

Every year lightning damages electrical systems all around Indiana. We want our customers to be ready for these types of storms. We are entering the worst time for power problems during the months of June and July. We recommend that every customer of ours have their computers and other electronics on trusted APC (American Power Conversion) Battery BackUPS and surge protectors. Not only is APC one of the most trusted brands for surge suppression they carry one of the best guarantees in the business. If you have one of those $10 power strips from your local retailer you're in for a possibly problematic summer for your electronics! Those power strips are just glorified extension cords with more outlets! Don't get left this summer without your computer or internet connection. Some of the APC products hold a $75,000 warranty for whatever is plugged into their products correctly.

Also remember, if you don't have the CPE insurance ($5 per month) on your PDSWireless account you could be subject to replacing your client unit at your cost. Get yourself an APC product to insure that your electronics and internet equipment is safe! In most cases lightning strikes and storms are covered under home owners insurance but most people have such a high deductible that most damages are going to be out of your pocket. Play it safe this summer if you have a high home owner's insurance deductible, purchase an APC product!

If you need help finding an APC product nearest you please give us a call on the support line and we can help you find a local retailer. APC products, for Battery BackUPS, start as low as $39! At such a low price you can rest assured your summer won't be hindered with internet outages or

At the Speed of Light - Saturday, October 06, 2007

Precision Data Solutions, LLC utilizes the latest technology available for connectivity.  We are the first company in the Mooresville area to use fiber for our upstream connection to the Internet.  What does this mean to our community?  We are able to deliver faster speeds with less downtime at a lower cost than typically charged by the telephone company.  If you are a business, please contact us for a quote for dedicated bandwidth.  We can probably deliver more bandwidth at almost 1/2 the price you are currently paying for costly T1s.

Indie ISP Helps Bridge the Gap in Coverage - Saturday, January 13, 2007

The highest point in the Mooresville area isn’t accessible by elevator. The paved road even ends several hundred feet before the destination. From the hill on which it rests, the Brownsburg water tower and southern end of the Indianapolis airport can be seen.

The tower erected by Precision Data Solutions stands roughly 190 feet tall, more than 1,100 feet from sea level. Placing the tower at such a high point helps eliminate the wireless Internet interference issues Morgan County’s topography presents to customers, Precision owner Eric Rogers said.
